Lagos State House Of Assembly Orders PSP To Resume Work
Following the House sitting on Thursday, Lagos state House of Assembly has given directives to Local Government Executives in the state to call on the Private Sector Partnership (PSP) operators in their areas to resume collection of refuse.
Mr Gbolahan Yishawu , chairman of house committee on Budget and Economic planning raised an eyebrow over the heap of refuse scattered in all parts of Lagos. Following the unpleasant look of the State with heap of refuse everywhere causing the state to be one of the dirtiest in the Country.
Virtually all the lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly condemn the poor state of refuse in Lagos.
The House also denied any knowledge of the Visionscape Sanitation Solutions Ltd , which is currently doing the task of collecting refuse in the state .
Honourable Mudashiru Obasa declared that the house knows nothing about the appointment of Visionscape, hence, the house have put a call to the Commissioner of Environment Mr Babatunde Durosinmi – Etti to appear before the House on the matter next week .
There have been call to the Local Government Executive to hold meetings with Private Sector Partnership (PSP) in their areas to resume work immediately.
